The Aero is a stunning front drag reel that sits perfectly in the middle of the Aero Match range. Delivering versatile performance for float and feeder anglers, it is fitted with an anti-reverse facility and Shimano’s leading gear assembly. Sleek understated graphics fit perfectly with the Shimano Aero rod ranges.
If you are a competition angler who fishes the float or the feeder and want a high quality reel to gain an advantage over your rivals, the Aero is the solution. Offering class-leading value for money, there are three sizes (C3000, 4000, C5000) to choose from depending on your requirements and the size of the rod you are using. With their super smooth waterproof drag and an additional anti-reverse facility, you can play fish directly off the drag when using stronger lines by back-winding when using fine lines, or by using a combination of both, safe in the knowledge that you have Shimano’s undeniable quality at your fingertips.
Inside the understated XT-7 G Free body of the Aero is Shimano’s top rated Hagane Gear and X-Ship system, enhanced by Silent Drive. This combination is renowned for powerful performance and long-lasting reliability, ensuring your reel will maintain its peak performance almost indefinitely, even when fishing with large feeders or catching massive weights of match-sized carp.
Other features that stand out are the super smooth waterproof front drag, AR-C Spool crafted from Cold Forged Aluminium for improved casting, plus a handle that screws straight into the main gear for ‘play-free’ directness. Each model comes with a line reducer to reduce the spool capacity of the reel, making all models perfect for both mono and braided lines and a round metal line clip that can be used for accurate casting performance.
