The A-Class Float Rod range has been developed to give anglers an affordable, dependable and highly versatile selection of rods for modern float fishing. Covering 10', 11' and 12' Pellet Waggler rods, plus a dedicated 13' Waggler rod for more traditional float work, the range is designed to handle everything from short-range commercial fishing to longer-range waggler and slider applications. Across the range, the emphasis is on crisp casting performance, progressive fish-playing actions and the kind of easy-to-use balance that makes the A-Class family such a strong choice for pleasure, club and match anglers alike.
Built around 24/30T tensile carbon blank construction, the A-Class Float Rods combine strength, responsiveness and reduced overall weight to create blanks that feel sharp through the cast while still cushioning lunges effectively when playing fish. That blank performance is backed up by new Anti-Tangle stainless frame guides and slim aluminium oxide ceramic rings, helping line flow cleanly and consistently for improved casting accuracy and reduced friction. The range is finished with a TVS down locking reel seat with EVA fore grip, an AA grade cork Armlock handle and a Guru exclusive EVA rear grip, giving every rod a secure, comfortable and well-balanced feel in the hand.
What makes the range particularly appealing is how each model has been tuned to a clear style of fishing. The shorter Pellet Waggler rods are compact, responsive and easy to handle on commercial venues, while the longer models step up casting range and control without losing that forgiving fish-playing action. Completing the lineup, the 13' Waggler is aimed squarely at anglers who want a more traditional float rod for lakes and rivers, with the versatility to fish wagglers and sliders confidently across a wide range of situations.
The A-Class 10' Pellet Waggler is the most compact float rod in the range, designed for short-range fishing with both conventional and pellet waggler setups. Its short length makes it extremely easy to handle, helping anglers fish accurately at close range and play fish positively under the rod tip. It is a great choice for smaller commercials, margin-to-island work and even younger or less experienced anglers learning the waggler. Guru also positions it as a versatile rod for lakes, canals and small rivers, making it far more adaptable than its compact size might suggest.
The A-Class 11' Pellet Waggler sits right in the middle of the range and offers the best all-round balance between accuracy, fish-playing control and casting versatility. It is ideal for anglers who want a rod that can comfortably cover a wide variety of pellet waggler situations on commercial venues, giving a little more reach and line control than the 10' model without sacrificing responsiveness. For many anglers, this is the true all-rounder of the range and the perfect choice for everyday pellet waggler fishing.
The A-Class 12' Pellet Waggler is the largest and most powerful pellet waggler rod in the range, built for situations where extra casting distance and greater control are required. Guru describes it as the rod for commercial waggler fishing when larger wagglers and longer lines come into play. It is also well suited to river fishing for species such as chub and barbel when using a stick float or waggler, highlighting just how versatile this model is. Despite its added length and power, it still retains the progressive action needed to play fish smoothly and confidently.
The A-Class 13' Waggler is the traditional float rod in the lineup, designed for anglers who prefer classic waggler and slider fishing on lakes and rivers. Guru positions it as a traditional-style 3-piece rod with a soft through action that makes catching smaller fish enjoyable, while keeping enough power in reserve for bigger bonus fish. That combination of finesse and reserve strength makes it an excellent rod for mixed-species fishing, and Guru also highlights it as a strong option for winter commercial fishing when a softer, more forgiving action is often an advantage.
